NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (NCRIMS), Meerut is a modern medical college and teaching hospital established under KSD Charitable Trust, Meerut. It is approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi, and is affiliated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow.

MBBS Admissions — NCRIMS Meerut

Admissions to the MBBS programme at National Capital Region Institute of Medical Sciences are conducted as per the National Medical Commission (NMC) and Government of India regulations, through the designated counselling authorities.

OPD Services & Registration Process at NCRIMS Hospital

Out-Patient Department (OPD) — Key Features

  • OPD Registration: All OPD registration is free of cost.
  • Senior Citizens: Separate queue for senior citizens for all OPD facilities.
  • Token & Turn: Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis (emergencies get priority).
  • Admission Decision: The decision to admit a patient rests with the treating doctor.
  • Bed Availability: Admission is subject to availability of a vacant bed, but in emergency, out-of-turn admission may be arranged.
  • Mobility Support: Wheelchairs and stretchers are available in the waiting and registration areas.
  • Facilities Subject to Availability: All facilities are subject to availability and may change from time to time.

The registration counter is located at the main reception area of the hospital. A comfortable waiting area is provided with adequate seating and supportive services including:

Functioning & Flow

After registration, the patient is provided with an OPD card and guided to the respective OPD complex. An OPD waiting number is issued, and the patient is requested to be seated in the reception/waiting area. On their turn, patients are guided to the respective doctors for consultation and treatment.

The hospital gives due consideration to physically handicapped patients and senior citizens. Immediate measures are taken to shift serious patients to the respective critical care units when needed.

Referrals

  • OPD patients may be referred from one department to another for expert opinion and management.
  • In-patients can also be referred between departments as deemed necessary by the treating consultants.
